How to Install the inZOI Mod Loader
Follow these simple steps to install and set up the inZOI Mod Loader on your system.
Step 1: Download the Mod Loader
First, download the appropriate version of the Mod Loader for your operating system from the download page.
Note: Make sure to download the correct version for your operating system (Windows).
Step 2: Install the Application
Windows Installation
- Locate the downloaded
.exe installer file.
- Double-click the installer to start the installation process.
- If you see a security warning, click "More info" and then "Run anyway" to proceed.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Once installed, the inZOI Mod Loader will be available in your Start menu.
Step 3: First-Time Setup
- Launch the inZOI Mod Loader application.
- On first launch, you'll be prompted to locate your inZOI game installation:
- Steam: Usually in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\inZOI
- Epic Games: Usually in
C:\Program Files\Epic Games\inZOI
- Click "Browse" and navigate to your inZOI installation folder.
- Once the game is located, the Mod Loader will automatically set up the necessary directories.
- You'll be taken to the main interface where you can browse and install mods.
Step 4: Installing Mods
- Currently, the main way to install mods for inZOI is by creating a
~mod folder in the game's installation path.
- Download the mods you wish to install. Mods are usually provided as
.pak files.
- Create the
~mod folder in your inZOI game installation directory if it doesn't already exist.
- Copy each mod's
.pak files into the newly created ~mod folder.
Tip: You can also install mods manually by downloading them from this website and using the "Import Mod" option in the Mod Loader.
Note: Make sure to install the inZOI Mod Enabler first. This tool is required to enable the mods and manage them through the Mod Loader.
Step 5: Using the Mod Loader
- With the inZOI Mod Loader, you can bypass the manual steps mentioned earlier. Instead, simply launch the loader, which will automatically detect your
~mod folder and install mods for you.
- Browse through available mods, select the ones you wish to install, and click "Install" in the loader.
- The loader will handle the process of copying the
.pak files to the correct location for you.
- Once installed, you can enable or disable mods from the "Installed Mods" tab and launch the game directly from the loader.
Important Notes
- Always back up your save files before installing major mods.
- Some mods may conflict with each other. If you experience issues, try disabling mods one by one to identify the conflict.
- The Mod Loader requires an internet connection to download mods from the repository.
- Updates to the Mod Loader will be automatically detected when you launch the application.
